In the far north, the daylight hours grow shorter and the temperatures turn colder. Many of the plants demonstrate this in their changing colors as the seasons of life are brought to fruition and harvest. We know the harshness of winter will be upon us all too soon. Soon the natural world around us will fall dormant. For today, relish the richness and bounty of this year.

During the bright daylight hours, a lighthouse can appear to be just another rock sentinel along the coastline. But when the darkness comes, its light shines forth and protects those in danger. Perhaps you are a lighthouse for someone else. Do you sometimes appear to be just another rock on the shore. Never forget that when you let your light shine, it may break through the darkness and may safe the life of another. Let your light shine.
Reflecting on life can be complicated. Where does the real end, and where does the reflected begin? But does it matter? Enjoy the beauty of creation today, and enjoy your reflections.
