“All that is gold does not glitter,
Not all those who wander are lost; The old that is strong does not wither, Deep roots are not reached by the frost." J. R. R. Tolkien Only moments before this picture was taken a hummingbird drank deeply of the sweet nectar in these blossoms. It was energized by the power contained within. Looking at the beauty of the world around us enables us to drink deeply of its sweet nectar. May you be energized by the beauty and wonder of the natural world.
Nighttime fireworks of a late summer community celebration light up the sky and give cause for reflection. The vibrancy and growth of life has flowered around us and the time for harvest is upon us. Before the first chill winds of autumn cool our ardor let us breath deep and fill our beings with the warmth of summer. When we do this on a physical level we can feel life, fullness, and contentment filling our bodies. The challenge is to repeat this endeavor on a spiritual level. May your spirit be filled with summer.
Drink in the last dregs of summer as the new school year begins and the natural world turns to the autumn of the year. Look around you. Relax. Savor life.
