It is the tamaracks (Northern Larch) turn to tranform themselves golden as we move through the season. It is time for us to enjoy their brief moment of glory.
I love to see the cascade of color in the images of the autumn season. Some of the panoramic views are breath-taking. Yet it is the small things that entrance and enrapture me. There is beauty in the small things.
Some days do you feel as though you are literally "just hanging on for dear life"? Perhaps the greatest challenges in life are learning when to hold on, and learning when to let go.
This light coating of dew on a dandelion seed puff can remind us of of the delicate nature of life. While there are times in life to be tough, there are also times to be tender. Walk softly today.
I saw these raccoon tracks this morning and wondered which way the raccoon went. Then I wondered about the "tracks" I leave in life and if people who see them wonder which way I am going. Can you join me today in some moments of self-reflection about which way you are going?

Here in the northland, it is the time of year when evening shadows quickly deepen. There is a harsh beauty in the gloaming light, as the beautiful colors of the autumn days are lost into the depth of these cool and long nights. Sometimes our personal lives may feel that same sense of beauty yet loss. Can we allow ourselves to embrace those feelings today?
The darkest time is right before the dawn. It was true this morning. The moon, with its reflected light of passion and delight had just set and the sun was yet to rise in all its majesty and glory. The world had dimmed into near total darkness with only the light of the stars pricking the sky. This event of nature reflects a human situation. There are times when all goes dim and the darkness threatens to overwhelm, but if we can make it through these moments our lives will be filled again with sights of beauty and delight.
In the dark moments of your life - never surrender. Be patient, and wait for the light. |
