Sometimes - when we see the majesty and wonder of windblown cloud formations we feel touched by the Divine.
Sometimes during the day, when at work or at play, we witness the majesty and wonder of Spirit-filled lives and we feel blessed. We may not control the wind, or the Spirit, but our souls are lifted up.

"When Dawn spread out her fingertips of rose ..." is a line from one of the most famous writings of western literature. The peaceful hues of pink seem to fill the day to come with promise, much as I imagine the rising dawn over the seas around Greece filled Odysseus with the hope of home. What sights will you see today, that will fill your eyes and heart with promise and hope? With open eyes greet the dawn!
Water and ice reflect the dawn,
as with a burst of gold the sun jumps into view. Wings beating in unison, the geese come calling. Achingly the trees reach for the warmth of Spring, and the Creator smiles. These early days of spring in the north are filled with the promise of new life. The nights are still cold, usually dropping below freezing, but the rising sun brings warmth and energy to a waiting world. The geese return to find open water on lakes and to look for places to nest. Soon the waters will be ice free, the grasses will green, and the trees will bud. Spring is life. Look around yourself today. See Spring. See life.
This morning I was blessed to see this country road seemingly gently rise to touch the sun. Greet each sunrise with an attitutude of openness. Possibilities lie before you. Rise to greet them.
Moonlight in the cloudy skies reveals the stark outline of a tree waiting for warm spring days so that it may begin to bud and leaf forth. There is beauty in the waiting.
Blue skies brighten vision.
Bright sun touches earth . Warm air softens breezes. Lake ice melts. Cattails burst forth. Spring brings renewal. This road weaves through the snow on a frozen lake. It has one purpose - to get people to their favorite fishing spots. If you would venture upon it with the intention of arriving at a different destination, or if you would follow it for another purpose, you will be disappointed.
What "road of life" are you on? Will that road lead you to your intended destination? Does your road serve your purpose in life? |
