How can those who walk in great darkness see a great light?
Sometimes the dark moments of our lives overwhelm us. All that is light and love seems to fade into the gathering gloom. How are we to overcome that despair which blankets us? I have observed some say that in such a situation, one must reach inside of oneself, think positive thoughts, and change oneself. In effect, they are to ignite their own light. Perhaps that is possible, but I am of the mind that it is by the love of the Divine that the light pierces our darkness. I've seen this happen by the kind word of a stranger, by the tender touch of a loved one, by the listening ear of a friend, by the word of grace flowing in music, by the glory of a summer morning, by the beauty of a winter snowfall . . . My list can go on and on. I hope yours does also. Perhaps you will see Light today. Perhaps you will be the vessel to carry the Light to others today. Go in peace, and let the Light shine.
